Arno Kutner: Biography

Attorney: Arno Kutner

" I switched from defense work to representing individuals and families because I wanted to help people and improve their lives after they suffered an injury or the loss of a family member."

— Arno Kutner

Arno Kutner Popup Iconwas born in Miami and grew up in what is now the Little Havana neighborhood, where he attended Shenandoah elementary and middle school and Miami Senior High. Mr. Kutner went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Miami. Instead of entering the family coffee business, he enrolled at and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law. There he became a member of the Iron Arrow, the university's most prestigious honor society.

After graduation, Mr. Kutner went to work with one of the Southeast's most well-respected civil insurance defense firms, which ultimately evolved into Kutner, Rubinoff & Moss. After spending 20 successful years defending insurance companies and transportation interests, Mr. Kutner shifted to plaintiff's work in the early 1980s, and soon found greater satisfaction representing individuals and families rather than corporations and insurance companies.

Some of the most eminent trial lawyers call on Mr. Kutner for help in trying their cases. They rely on him for his knowledge of the law, courtroom skills, and his reputation for integrity and fairness in working with all parties in a case with discretion and courtesy. He has been involved in most of the firm's successful cases over the years, both in trial and settlement. Mr. Kutner is also a certified mediator in the State of Florida.

Mr. Kutner has been the recipient of many legal honors and recognitions. He is a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, whose membership is limited to only 500 lawyers in the country. He has been listed consistently in the publication Best Lawyers in America since 1993, in the Florida Legal Guide as one of the top lawyers in South Florida, and in Florida Trend as one of the top lawyers.

He is married to Lucy and he has three children and two grandchildren.
